After SHS, What's Next? - Tempane
In 2024, Transform, Inspire, and Impact (TII) hosted an inspiring mentorship program titled “After School, What’s Next?” for senior high school students. This initiative was born out of a simple yet important question: What comes after graduation? For many young people, the uncertainty of life after school can be overwhelming. Our mission was to bridge that gap with guidance, mentorship, and hope.
Empowering Students with Direction
The program brought together experienced professionals, educators, and entrepreneurs who shared their personal journeys, successes, and lessons learned. We addressed critical topics such as career choices, entrepreneurship, skills development, higher education opportunities, and navigating the challenges of adulthood.
Providing Tools for Success
We know that education is a powerful tool, but without the right resources, many children are unable to fully benefit from it. During the outreach, we distributed essential school supplies including books, pens, pencils, and learning materials. Each child received a package that will support their studies and reduce the burden on their families.
Interactive Mentorship Sessions
Rather than just delivering speeches, we made the sessions interactive. Students had the opportunity to ask questions, share their dreams, and receive tailored advice from mentors. This exchange created a safe space for open dialogue and real-life problem-solving. One of the main goals of the program was to help students see beyond the immediate challenge of finishing school. We encouraged them to think long-term — to identify their passions, set achievable goals, and take intentional steps towards building their futures. From starting small businesses to pursuing higher education, the message was clear: Your future is in your hands, but you are not alone.

Our Ongoing Commitment
The “After School, What’s Next?” program is part of our continuous effort to prepare young people for life beyond the classroom. At TII, we believe that mentorship is one of the most powerful tools to shape confident, capable, and purpose-driven leaders for tomorrow. We are already looking forward to the next edition — because when we invest in the minds of the youth, we invest in the future of our communities.
